Each aircraft configuration includes a custom-built case for safe storage and transportation. Storing your aircraft requires following specific pre-storage procedures to ensure it is secured properly.
Important: Payloads and peripherals such as gimbal cameras, sensors, and LiDARs should be removed prior to storage and placed in a separate dedicated case.
H6 Electric
Transport cases for the Harris H6 Electric include foam inserts molded to protect the airframe.
Storage Instructions:
- Propellers: Close all propellers and place protective socks over each.
- Booms: Fold each boom inward. Direct propellers for motors 5, 6, 4, and 3 into the center of the airframe, and propellers for motors 1 and 2 outward.
- Antennas: Lower the GPS masts and remove all antennas from the booms, frame, or legs.
- Landing Gear: Lift the aircraft and fold each leg inward. If coaxial cables are mounted, turn them inward to prevent damage.
- Case Placement: Place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear facing the left and right sides.
- Secure: Place the foam cover over the aircraft and press lightly until seated.
H6 EFI & Hydrone
These cases allow the generator or fuel cell to remain attached between missions.
Storage Instructions:
- Follow steps 1 and 2 from the H6 Electric instructions.
- Place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear facing the left and right sides.
- Use the provided eyelets on all four sides to strap the aircraft in place.
- Caution: Avoid placing straps over wiring or booms to prevent damage.
Hx8 Octocopter
Transport cases for the Hx8 include custom molded foam inserts.
Storage Instructions:
- Propellers: Close all propellers and place protective socks over each.
- Booms: Fold each boom inward while directing propellers for motors 1, 5, 2, 6, 3, 8, 4, and 7 along their respective booms.
- Antennas: Lower the GPS masts and remove the ADSB antenna and any peripherals attached to the legs.
- Landing Gear: Lift the aircraft and fold each leg inward.
- Case Placement: Place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear parallel to the lid.
- Secure: Place the foam cover over the aircraft and press lightly. If obstructed, adjust boom positions until the cover seats properly.
Hx8 with Fixed Landing Gear
Storage Instructions:
- Follow steps 1 and 2 from the Hx8 Octocopter instructions.
- Place the aircraft into the case with the front and rear perpendicular to the lid.
- Use the provided eyelets on all four sides to strap the aircraft in place.
- Caution: Avoid placing straps over wiring or booms to prevent damage.
